Doug Billiter Joins Blue Angel Pumps

Doug Billiter has joined Blue Angel Pumps as Regional Sales Manager with more than 20 years of experience in the water, wastewater and municipal/industrial marketplace.  Doug previously worked as a manufacturer’s representative providing pump and process equipment, assisting design professionals with selection, specification and installation of packaged systems and stand alone equipment.  He also provided start-up assistance and servicing of equipment.  Doug has represented many pump companies over the years and looks foward to assisting Blue Angel customers in his new role.  He is  member of  the American Rainwater Catchment System Association (ARCSA), the Water Environment Federation (WEF) and the Ohio Water Environment Association (OWEA).  Doug’s territory covers the South, Southwest and Midwest extending as far east as Pennsylvania.  He can be contacted at (513) 446-4391 (cell) and email: dbilliter@blueangelpumps.com.  Please welcome Doug to Blue Angel Pumps!

Blue Angel Energy Efficient Effluent Pump Debuts at ASPE Show

ASPE PHOTOBlue Angel’s new energy efficient 1/3 HP Effluent Pump was unveiled at the Engineered Plumbing Exposition, sponsored by the American Society of Plumbing Engineers (ASPE), November 1 – 2, 2010 in Philadelphia, PA.  The high head pump, also available in a ½ HP unit, features an all cast iron housing and volute for superior durability and long-term performance.  Pumping 65 GPM at five feet, the pump also features a hermetically sealed motor housing, carbon/ceramic shaft seals and upper and lower sealed roller bearings for continuous, reliable performance.  The discharge nozzle can handle up to ½ inch solids.

With energy savings top of mind for plumbing contractors and their customers, the new 1/3 HP Effluent Pump features a high efficiency motor, with 3300 RPMs at 3.8 amps for optimal energy performance.  A top suctioning design also filters debris and minimizes clogging.

Blue Angel Pumps A Hit At Pumper Cleaner Show

Blue Angel Pumps with new iSwitch technology were unveiled at the Pumper & Cleaner Environmental Expo International in Louisville, KY held Feb. 24 – 27, 2010.   The microprocessor-controlled iSwitch is maintenance-free, lasts 5 times longer than traditional mechanical float or tether switches and virtually eliminates callbacks. As part of its introduction, five lucky winners were awarded Blue Angel pumps in a drawing held at the show.

According to Drew Dempsey, Regional Manager, Blue Angel Pumps, this year’s show was better in leads and quality traffic than last year, with a great amount of interest in the new products.   “Attendance was definitely up this year, especially at the contractor level,” said Dempsey.   “The E-1 retrofit unit was a big hit at the show and probably accounted for half of the traffic through the booth.”

Blue Angel pumps will have the iSwitch technology applied to eight primary submersible sump pump models, from the OPP Builder’s Choice BWSCAP30  to the Big Daddy SSBCSC100  It will also be on two Simple Sump Preassembled and Job Ready systems

Blue Angel Pumps to be featured at WEFTEC Show in Orlando

Wayne Water Systems will be exhibiting its professional line of pumps, marketed under the Blue Angel brand at the WEFTEC Show in Orlando, FL.  The Show will be held at the Orange County Convention Center from October 10-14, 2009.

WEFTEC, the Water Environment Federation’s Annual Technical Exhibition and Conference, is the largest conference of its kind in North America and offers water quality professionals from around the world with the best water quality education and training available today.  More than 20,000 attendees are expected.
